Nick News required a new site, and a new CMS. They required a very simple CMS that allowed publishers of the show to edit and create content without involving Nickelodeon. We chose Wordpress as a platform, and even though we did not have to change the core functionality of Wordpress, we were able to create a fully customized setup for Nick News, entirely encapsulated within a theme.Nick News. The Eco Endurance Challenge is a event hosted by Halifax Regional Search and Rescue. I had the opportunity to work as a developer on there site this year, during this time I migrated there very aging pure html site to a full Wordpress site. I also configured a events plug in to connect with PayPal, allowing the event for the first time in there 10 year history to allow online booking and payments.E2C. I started working with Hal-Con simply as a PHP developer to do basic maintenance on there site. After a few months of basic text edits I decided to completely rebuild the site using Drupal, allowing Hal-Con members to edit and create new content. The site also features a full forum powered by phPBB.Hal-Con. I was tasked with redesigning Achordus.com again over the Summer and Fall of 2009. This time we went with a Drupal instance and custom themes. TeamSpace Canada. In the Spring of 2009 I took over design and development of BenAndKranky.com, a game under development by Silverback Production. TeamSpace Canada. A complete redesign of Achordus.com, a tool owned by TeamSpace Canada. A AJAX and CSS based drop down menu powered by a CMS back end. A custom Wordpress blog created for the Chocolate News TV show. A Flex/PHP/MySQL project allowing visitors to create cartoons based on there favorite cartoons, also included a safe chat application to guarantee appropriate language in the cartoons. I was responsible for the PHP/MySQL web services on both the client and admin side as well. A inventory management system created with PHP/MySQL and a custom object orientated class library. Allows for tracking of books, software, furniture, and hardware. A series of PHP based sited created for a MTV2 contest. This sites included a XML driven series of thumbnails displaying the most recent / top entries for the contest. A complete Intranet system based on Joomla, incorporating company wide email notification, message boards, polls and employee lists. A PHP/MySQL driven skills management system. A full AJAX search mockup incorporating Microsoft Virtual Earth.
